SERVICE OF LIGHT 2025
On Saturday February 1 at the 6.00 pm Vigil Mass in Holy Rosary Church, a Service of Light will take place when all candidates for Confirmation will make a faith commitment as part of their preparation to receive the Sacrament over the weekend of 1 and 2 March.
All candidates for Confirmation should bring a candle to this ceremony and if they still have their baptism candle even better.
Candles will also be blessed at this Mass as it is the Vigil Mass for the Feast of the Presentation of the Lord.

DERRY DIOCESE PILGRIMAGE TO LOURDES 2025 ~ Monday 30 June - Friday 4 July

The Pilgrimage Committee are delighted to announce that the Lourdes Pilgrimage Office will be opening on Saturday 1 February from 11.00 am to 1.00 pm in The Pastoral Centre 164 Bishop Street Derry BT48 6UJ.
Phone 028 71260293. It will continue to be open each week on Thursdays and Saturdays from 11.00 am to 1.00 pm. Application forms may be collected at these times and are also available by emailing: derrypilgrim@outlook.com.
There will be a Youth Pilgrimage along with the main group and any young person aged 16 -18 years in any parish may contact the Pilgrimage Office by phone or email for more information.
The Pilgrimage Committee also wish to invite nurses, doctors or care staff who are interested in joining their Care Team to please make contact with the Pilgrimage Office. Details above.
DERRY DIOCESAN YOUTH PILGRIMAGE TO FATIMA
Young people aged 16 + are invited to join this diocesan pilgrimage to Fatima for 4 nights from 14 July to 18 July. This will be a unique experience for young people and an opportunity to engage with their peers from around the world in a faith context. Cost is £700 and there will be a budget plan to help with this. Names and deposit of £100 are required as soon as possible please. 33 DAYS OF FAMILY PRAYER
The 33 days of Family Prayer towards Consecration to Jesus Christ through Mary, as part of a diocesan programme for the Jubilee Year 2025, Pilgrims of Hope continues until Tuesday 11 February, each evening at 7.00 pm on-line, live on the Diocese of Derry Facebook page. ACCORD
Accord Catholic Marriage Care Service CLG is currently recruiting volunteers to train as marriage preparation programme facilitators. If you are supportive of marriage in the Catholic Church; and have the enthusiasm to be part of the Accord team that supports couples preparing for the Sacrament of Marriage, then Accord wishes to hear from you!

Registration for traditional music classes can now be completed online at
Classes start on Tuesday 21 January from 7.00 pm to 7.45 pm and will run for 11 weeks. Cost is £45 per person with family discount available.
Classes are available in fiddle, tin whistle, bodhran, guitar, beginner concertina, adult bodhran and harp. Beginner, intermediate and advanced classes are available except for those classes mentioned above. It is possible to hire the more expensive instruments for a monthly fee.
