PADRE PIO MASS

Monthly Mass in honour of St Pio of Pietrelcina will be celebrated on Monday 7 April at 7.30 pm in Holy Rosary Church. Novena prayers and Rosary at 7.10 pm.


D.D.S. MASS

The 10.00 am Mass on Thursday 10 April in St Eugene’s Church, Moneyneena will be offered for the deceased members of the Derry Diocesan Society.

D.T.I.M. MASS

All First Communicants and their families are invited to the Do This In Memory Mass next Saturday, 12 April, at 6.00 pm in Holy Rosary Church. Everyone is asked to be seated early so that the children taking part in the procession at the beginning of mass can gather safely. Palms will be blessed at ALL Vigil and Sunday Masses. 


ANNUAL HOLY WEEK CONFESSIONS

Service of Reconciliation on Monday 14 April in Holy Rosary Church at 7.30 pm  and on Tuesday 15 April at 7.30 pm in St Patrick's, Keenaught. Visiting priests will be available on both evenings to hear confessions.

NEW PARISH ENVELOPES

Sincere thanks to all those parishioners who assisted with the distribution of the new boxes of envelopes.  The new envelopes will be used from this  weekend. If you did not receive envelopes and wish to receive a box please contact the Parish Office as soon as possible.  If you have signed up for Gift Aid in the past you do not need to sign up again, you only need to do this once and your participation in this scheme automatically continues each year.  Thank you.


EASTER CASH CALL

Cash Call in aid of St Eugene’s Church Renovation Funds will be held on Easter Sunday 20 April.

1st Call ~ £2,000

2nd Call ~ £1,000

3rd Call ~ £500

Winning calls will be made on Easter Sunday between 1.00 pm and 1.30 pm.  A random number generator will select the winning numbers.  Entries close at 3.00 pm on Saturday 19 April. ST COLM’S HIGH SCHOOL

Students from St Colm's High School will take up a church door collection after all Masses next weekend in both parishes in aid of the Diocesan Youth Pilgrimages to Lourdes, Rome and Fatima in which they are participating later in the summer.


PARISH MISSION

The Vincentian Fathers will conduct a Four Day Parish Mission from Thursday 29 May to Sunday 1 June. More detail to follow. This is a new approach to Parish Missions and it is hoped that it will be a time of great blessing for both parishes and renewal for all who desire a stronger faith.


YOUTH MINISTRY - LENTEN REFLECTION

Derry Diocesan Youth Department, along with young people participating in the Pope John Paul II Award, invite you to a Lenten Reflection with music and prayer, in St Mary's Church, Maghera, on Monday 14 April at 7.00 pm.   All welcome.  This event will be broadcast live on the Maghera parish webcam.


DERRY DIOCESAN PILGRIAMGE TO KNOCK

The  Derry Diocesan Pilgrimage to Knock will take place on Sunday 15 June. Further details in the coming weeks.


SCOUTS EASTER BAKE SALE

The Scouts are holding their Annual Bake Sale and Fun Easter Activities in the Workspace Community Hub on Saturday 19 April from 10.00 am to 1.00 pm. Come along, buy some Easter treats, meet the Easter Bunny, enjoy making some crafts, face painting and more!

COFFEE MORNING

St Colm’s High School pupils are holding a Coffee Morning from 9.30 am to 12.30 pm in An Ráth Dubh, on Saturday 19 April, to raise money for their Lourdes Pilgrimage. All welcome to enjoy hot drinks and delicious baked goods!


BABY MASSAGE CLASSES

New baby massage and reflexology classes will begin in Community Hub on Friday 2 May for four weeks.


INDEPENDENT MONITORING BOARD 

Fr Stephen McBrearty, lead Catholic Chaplain for the Prison Service, seeks volunteers to become members of the IMB. These members are unpaid public appointees, appointed by ministers to provide independent oversight of what happens in places of detention. It is a varied and rewarding role. DERRY DIOCESAN YOUTH PILGRIMAGE TO FATIMA

Young people aged 16 + are invited to join a pilgrimage to Fatima for 4 nights from 14 July to 18 July.  This will be a unique experience for young people and an opportunity to engage with their peers from around the world in a faith context. Cost is £700 and there will be a budget plan to help with this. If you wish to have a deceased loved one prayed for at any Anniversary Friday Mass, you MUST please email their name to Ballinascreen Parish Office by noon on Thursday of the relevant week. Notices for First Anniversary and Month's Mind Masses should be received before the Wednesday of the previous week so that, they may be printed in the Bulletin the weekend before the Anniversary Mass
