ANNUAL FORTY HOURS ADORATION 2024

The Annual 40 Hours Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament will take place over two days on Sunday 6 and Monday 7 October.  Adoration will begin after 12 noon Mass in St Eugene’s Church Moneyneena and end at 6.00 pm with Devotions and Benediction.

Adoration will resume on Monday after the 10.00 am Mass in Holy Rosary Church and continue throughout the day until concluding at 7.25 pm with the monthly Padre Pio Mass at 7.30 pm.

Please offer your time on Sunday or Monday so that the Blessed Sacrament is never left unattended.


PADRE PIO MASS

Monthly Mass in honour of St Pio of Pietrelcina will be celebrated on Monday 7 October at 7.30 pm in Holy Rosary Church. Novena prayers and Rosary at 7.10 pm.


DO THIS IN MEMORY (DTIM)

The first DTIM Mass for the children in Primary 4 preparing for their First Holy Communion in 2025 will take place on Saturday 12 October at 6.00 pm in Holy Rosary Church.

All First Communion classes and families are very welcome to this Mass of Enrolment.

This year we extend a warm welcome to the First Communion classes and families of Desertmartin Parish who are joining the DTIM Programme.

RELICS OF ST BERNADETTE IN DERRY DIOCESE

The Holy Relics of St. Bernadette are on pilgrimage from Lourdes to Ireland for the very first time, visiting every Diocese in Ireland during September and October. The holy relics will visit St. Eugene's Cathedral, Derry from 2:00 pm Sunday 13 to Monday 14 October.

This very special, once in a lifetime event will provide an opportunity for people of all ages and backgrounds to experience the special gifts and charisms of Lourdes in their diocese. The visitation of the Holy Relics is an opportunity to have Lourdes come to your diocese so that we can all experience the pilgrimage in Lourdes at home in Ireland.

The Annual Mass of Remembrance held each year in November will take place on the following dates:

Ballinascreen on Monday 11 November in Holy Rosary Church at 7.30 pm and Desertmartin on Monday 18 November in St Patrick's Church Keenaught at 7.30 pm.


CONFIRMATION 2025

Ballinascreen Confirmation will be celebrated in Holy Rosary Church on Sunday 2 March at 2.00 pm. 

Desertmartin Confirmation will be celebrated in St Patrick’s Church Keenaught on Sunday 2 March at

10.00 am.  Bishop McKeown will preside at both ceremonies.


WARM WELCOME WEDNESDAY

Session in Workspace Community Hub on Wednesday 9 October from 11.00 am to 1.00 pm: Claire from Crafty Mammy Fabrics will be present again, showing how to create your own Autumnal home decoration.  She will have her fabric and wool pop-up shop also in case you need more supplies. Sessions are free and suitable for beginners. All welcome


WELLBEING EVENT FOR MEN

Nóra Murray along with other speakers will be hosting an evening on Saturday 19 October at 7.00 pm sharp in the Club for all men over 18 on mental health and wellbeing.  This event is open to the whole community and beyond. It will give you the opportunity to listen to those with lived experiences, an opportunity to ask questions as well as becoming more equipped with how to deal with your own mental health and others.  Benny Heron and Eamon Burns are two of the many men onboard.
