VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

To ensure that this Parish Event will be a great success we need the help of many adult volunteers. Help will be needed during Tuesday afternoon to assist with necessary preparations and help will also be needed during the Event. If you are willing to help either in the afternoon with the preparations or at the Event itself please contact the Parish Office by phone or email on or before Tuesday August 7.

GREAT RELIGIOUS ARTICLES GIVE AWAY

Many families have countless religious articles (religious pictures, medals, statues, rosaries etc) that are stored in drawers or presses, that have been replaced by newer ones. Many people do not like the idea of throwing the old ones away. Religious objects may still be left in the Parish Office during opening hours. At the Family Fun Event, a stall will display all these religious articles and for a small anonymous donation those who would like to take one or more home may do so.

POPE FRANCIS@ PONTIFEX

Before helping others, we need to have a personal encounter with God: we need time to pray and to listen to His Word.

OFFICIAL FAMILY PRAYER FOR WMOF2018

God, our Father, we are brothers and sisters in Jesus your Son,

One family, in the Spirit of your love.

Bless us with the joy of love.

Make us patient and kind, gentle and generous, welcoming to those in need.

Help us to live your forgiveness and peace.

Protect all families with your loving care,

Especially those for whom we now pray:

Pause to remember family members and others

Increase our faith, strengthen our hope,

Keep us safe in your love,

Make us always grateful for the gift of life that we share.

This we ask, through Christ our Lord.

Amen
